Challenge

City Hypnosis are a firm of hypnotherapists based in London.  They work with individuals and organisations in the City with issues such as smoking, public speaking, managing stress and weight loss.

City Hypnosis approached Circle for support in opening up a new corporate market.  They wanted to take their existing business model into the blue chip marketplace selling hypnosis as part of organisational employee well-being programmes.  The initiative was launched at a time when budgets were being cut.  The challenge was to establish a foothold in this difficult market, engaging with managers and directors of corporate well-being through a new marketing campaign.

Solution

We began by focusing on the target market defining the parameters that would give us the very best contacts. Circle were then able to use our data contacts to source a database of contacts with opt-in email addresses, securing access to this notoriously hard to reach market.

We then developed the copy and brief for the email marketing campaign.  We needed a strong message that would cut through the noise, introducing this new organisation and selling the benefits of using hypnosis.  Then came the email design.  Working with Circle’s trusted designers we were able to build a HTML campaign that reflected the existing brand and created impact in the in-box.  We used Circle’s email marketing partner to send the campaign which tracked results and gave the sales team access to who opened the emails and clicked on links.

Results

Within five minutes of sending the campaign the largest drinks company in the world called City Hypnosis for a meeting and a further two opportunities converted within the first month.  This was all achieved with a low budget.
